Registered Psychotherapist, Provisional
Children can experience struggles both emotionally and behaviourally which can affect various aspects of their life and psychological development. This can be changeling for parents who don’t know how to help their child through these difficult times. This is where I can help! I work with children to build trust, teach emotional regulation techniques, and explore anxiety/stress in language they understand. Areas of focus include childhood anxiety, anger issues, divorce, bullying/self-esteem, emotions, trauma, and parenting support.
If you are an individual suffering with anxiety, low-self-esteem, relationship issues, or past/current trauma induced symptoms I would love to help you explore the benefits therapy could provide you. I pull interventions from various modalities including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), Narrative Therapy and more. Finding the right therapist for you can be stressful at times but if you are ready to get started and make positive change for yourself, I always offer a 15-min consult to see if we are a good fit.
I’d love to help you or a member of your family get the needed help and support to live better and happier.

Meet Danielle Van Alstine – Registered Psychotherapist Qualifying, Intern – Your Partner on the Journey to Inner Peace and Growth
Life can be overwhelming, especially when you’re struggling with anxiety, feelings of low self-worth, or the weight of life’s challenges. If you’re here, you might be longing for someone to truly understand and accept you without judgment. That’s where I come in.
I’m Danielle, and I’m passionate about walking alongside women who feel stuck, helping them embrace themselves fully and thrive in their unique circumstances. My own journey of personal growth began as a teenager, and I’ve learned valuable lessons along the way. I’m deeply grateful for those who supported me with kindness and compassion, and it’s my heartfelt mission to offer that same understanding to you.
In our sessions, I use Motivational Interviewing (MI) to guide you through conversations about the changes that feel important, yet daunting, in your life. We’ll work together to uncover your strengths and clarify your own reasons for wanting to take steps toward positive change. I also incorporate parts work, which can help you better understand the different aspects of yourself and how they show up in your relationships. This awareness can make navigating conflicts and life’s challenges more constructive and less overwhelming.
I believe that growth happens on many levels—physically, emotionally, and mentally. That’s why I integrate somatic and body-based exercises into our work when it’s fitting, to help you connect with yourself in a deeper, more meaningful way. If your spirituality plays a significant role in your life, I’m here to honor that and can incorporate it into our sessions as you wish.
In addition to supporting women on their journey to self-acceptance and healing, I’m also passionate about infant mental health and helping parents build strong, healthy attachments with their young children. If you’re navigating the challenges of parenting or want to explore how your own attachment experiences impact your relationships, I’m here to support you.
My approach is gentle, holistic, and always centered on what feels right for you. Whether you’re dealing with anxiety, depression, or simply feeling lost in life, we can work together to move toward the growth and healing you deserve.

Registered Psychotherapist
Guided by a calling to serve others since he was a young child, Dan has travelled the world to assist marginalized communities – including during natural disasters – as a volunteer fire fighter, chaplain and ordained minister. It was this desire to help others that led Dan to pastoring for almost two decades. In 2019, Dan felt a new calling and decided to pursue his interest in psychology. Dan is now a Registered Psychotherapist.
Through his experience providing pastoral counselling and education in psychology, he has developed an approach to psychotherapy that considers the whole person. It’s a holistic approach that involves consideration of the biological, psychological, social, and spiritual components of each of your concerns.
He has deep respect for your culture, your story and your identity. This respect guides him and helps him ensure that the focus is on what is best for you. Whatever is preventing you from flourishing – be it anxiety, depression, fear, trauma, or something else – he will strive to help you find the resources and supports you need to live your best life, and experience happiness, peace and contentment.
Dan’s approach to his practice is one of humility and respect. Humility – to recognize that despite his experience and education, he has much to learn. Respect – for the training he has, as well as respect for each client who places faith and trust in him to walk next to them in their journey and play a small part in their story. If you choose to work with Dan, know that he is deeply grateful for your trust.
